Year of W.E.B Du Bois, 2018
In 2018, we celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of W.E.B. Du Bois' birth with a series of symposiums exploring his ideas. A literacy campaign called Philadelphia Reads Du Bois was also organized with reading groups in union halls, churches, universities, and libraries across the city.
